We all love ice cream and our love is so great that it was declared intangible cultural heritage of humanity by the Uncesco. What was the reason for this? Ice cream is one of the most distinctive meals of Italian gastronomic culture that any tourist who visit this country has an obligation to taste.

And not just taste it, but visit the Museum which the Italians created to commemorate it, is called the Gelato Museum Carpigiani and is located in the Italian town of Anzola Emilia, near Bologna. This original place features interactive activities and was supported by the Carpigiani family, owners of a company that makes ice-cream machines and pasteurizers. The Museum has an area of 1000m2 and the iconic slogan "our mission is to spread all over the world the ice cream culture, an Italian handmade product based on a long and illustrious culinary tradition". Through exhibitions, they want to let people know the tradition that exists behind this delicacy, in addition to the identity that has european gastronomic culture. Like any other food it has some really important cultural roots and with which it can be more apreciated.

What kind of activities does this place have? There are about 20 machines that show the evolution that has had the ice cream. Also multimedia presentations, 10000 images and historic documents. Clearly fun center is the ice-cream shop that has twenty delicious flavours.
